Club Re-Opening!

We never thought that the Club, nor the whole world, would be facing anything like this COVID-19 pandemic. It has been a truly testing time for all.

The Club has faced many hardships over the past 62 years and we will rise to meet this new challenge.

That said, we are thrilled to announce that we are able to re-open our Club doors at 12PM on Friday 15th May.

There are several social distancing practises that need to be followed in order for us to re-open and we are sure that you will all gladly comply. We Territorians are the first in Australia to re-open and I know we will all play it right.

On behalf of all of our team, we would like to thank those of you who came down and supported our takeaway initiatives over the last 5 weeks – especially those who donated to our Community Kitchen. We would also like to extend a special thank you to our staff who volunteered their time to help.

We have been working tirelessly towards next week’s re-opening and look forward to continuing our Darwin Trailer Boat Club journey.

All the best,

DTBC Community Kitchen

Every Tuesday night until we re-open, the Club will be holding a Community Kitchen. We will be serving wholesome and hearty meals, in take away portions.

The Community Kitchen is a way for all of us to work together to pull through these tough times. The meals will be sold by donation to ensure that everyone can access a meal, without concern for the price.

The Club’s staff will be donating their time and any profits made will be passed on to Foodbank NT.

Finally, we kindly ask that you please observe social distancing rules at all times. Please remain behind the marked lines, or in your car where possible. For those of you who arrive on foot, an area will be clearly marked for you to wait.

We hope to see you all on Tuesday night.

COVID-19 Club Closure

Dear all,

It is with a heavy heart that we write this post.

Our world continues to change daily and following the Governments directive, we are sorry to say that we are closing the Club from today, Monday 23rd March, for the foreseeable future.

We are absolutely devastated that it has come to this, but understand it is our responsibility to be part of the national solution to stop the spread of this virus.

On behalf of all of our team, we would like to thank you for your support. Stay well and we hope to see you very soon.

In true Territorian style, we will bounce back from this, bigger and better.

All the best,

Step Back in Time with the DTBC Archive

We are thrilled to introduce to you the “Darwin Trailer Boat Club Archive” Facebook Page.

It’s a place to cherish memories and members from the Darwin Trailer Boat Club’s past.

Every week we’ll upload some images from our archives. Feel free to have a look at them, place a comment, tag your friends or just name them (if they’re not on Facebook), and write the date and/or occasion if you remember that.

We’ve also placed a computer with access to the photo archive next to the bar for you to explore and let us know what images you’d like us to upload onto the Page.

Photos are just photos if left in an archive, whereas our goal is to make history come alive, to cherish the good old times and everyone who has contributed to making this Club the Darwin institution it is today in its 60th Anniversary year.

Enjoy and please follow this page!
