Coopers Blue Water Classic

Darwin’s Premier Fishing Competition

27-29 October 2017

This year’s Coopers Blue Water Classic was another great success! Around 62 teams participated within the following three boat categories:

• Cat 1: Boats over 6.00m
• Cat 2: Boats between 5.500m to 5.999m
• Cat 3: Boats under 5.499m

Our contestants managed to reel in 500kg of fish over the weekend, which was then filleted at the Darwin Fish Market and donated to not-for-profit organisation Foodbank NT. Every fresh fish would be filleted, packaged, frozen and then distributed to charitable welfare agencies to people in need. Thanks to our generous fishermen for their donations.
