Functions on the Waterfront

The Darwin Trailer Boat Club is a spectacular venue for all your Darwin functions and events. It is hard to rival the Club’s generous spaces and uninterrupted water views of Fannie Bay. Night time functions enjoy the spectacle of Darwin’s tropical sunset as the sun sinks into the horizon.

At the Darwin Trailer Boat Club we are able to cater for the smallest AGM to the most lavish wedding. The vast areas of the Club are able to offer you a range of options to suit your event or function needs and has a maximum capacity of one thousand.

With full catering options available there is something for everyone at the Darwin Trailer Boat Club.

Green Sails

The green sails are located on the far right hand side of the Club and is full tiled and shaded by Green Sails. This is the most luxurious of all our areas as medium privacy is available with separation by Pot plants and exclusive access to your very own bar (By special request only).

Our Reception area is perfectly suited to a function area when children are attending. Located just behind the reception office, the area is under cover with overhead fans and situated close to the pool and playground area allowing the parents/guardians to keep a watchful eye on their child/ren.

Waterfront (Palms)

The Waterfront Palms Area is prefect for those small to medium informal gatherings. Situated on the left hand side lawn area, under the Palm trees this is as close to the beach as you can get without getting sand between your toes. The area provides space for seating and standing with 2 large tables and multiple small round tables, the perfect area for that cocktail party.

Council Room

The Council Room is located next to the main office. Being an air-conditioned area with a smart TV, this conference room is perfect for AGM’s, meetings, small presentations and workshops.

The verandah area is located directly in line with the main entrance “under the Verandah” and is the closest reservation area to the bar. With overhead fans and 7 x 8 seater tables, the Verandah is most suited to seating areas in groups of 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56

Entire DTBC Club House

If you are looking to hold a large function or event then you may like to look at the option of hiring out the entire Club House. The full Club House is available by discussion only.

Full Area – 1000 Persons (SS)


The Blue Water Bistro is well equipped to deal with any occasion. Our culinary team can prepare a diverse range of delights for all tastes including Canapés, Platters, Buffets or our standard Bistro menu’s.

Sourcing as much local seafood and produce as possible (Dependant upon availability) and we make just about everything in house. Our sauces and burger patties are made in house and we even make our very own burger buns. If we did any more in house we would have to mill our own flour!


Platters are available to groups of any size and are purchased by “The Platter” Each platter is suitable to satisfy 8-10 people for 1 hour. It wont have them bursting at the seams but will certainly keep them comfortable.

e.g. Function of 40 for 2 hours, we would recommend ordering 8 items. 4 on arrival and 4 an hour after arrival.


Why not take it up a notch and have some Canapés instead! When your looking for something a bit more oo-la-la then the Canapés selection is for you.


Our Buffets are available to groups of 40 or more and include various options to suit all taste buds. Perfect for that formal gathering, wedding or event a buffet is the best way to please a large group for an affordable price.
